Information from visiting the site

Requests to a website normally include information such as an IP address, requested URL, browser information and request time. Our hosting, security and content-delivery providers may process this information to deliver pages, diagnose problems and protect the site. Contact us if you need information about the providers handling a particular request.

Planned services

Analytics, display advertising and affiliate programs are planned. The conditional sections below explain the types of processing these features may introduce; they are not a statement that these services are already active. We will update provider details and any required choices when services are enabled.

The Drawer Slide Planner

In the current Planner implementation, your answers and measurements are processed in the browser’s page memory. The Planner does not send those answers or measurements to our server and does not itself store them in cookies, localStorage or sessionStorage. Reloading the page starts a new session. Loading pages, scripts and images still produces ordinary web requests. A URL may contain a named starting action for the Planner; it does not contain your entered measurements.

When you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address, message, any attachments and related email information. We use that information to respond, investigate your request and keep relevant correspondence. Our email provider processes messages for delivery and mailbox services. Please send only information relevant to your request.

Cookies and browser storage

WordPress may use cookies for administrator sign-in and technical functions. Its emoji support check may cache a browser capability result in sessionStorage; this is separate from Planner answers. Hosting or security services may use additional technical storage to deliver and protect the site. You can ask us about a specific cookie or browser-storage entry.

Analytics

We may introduce an analytics service, such as Google Analytics, to understand site use and improve content. If introduced, the service may process device/browser information, page views, referral information and interaction events, depending on its configuration. Before activation, we will identify the actual provider, describe the information collected and make any required consent and opt-out controls available. Google explains its practices in its Privacy Policy. If Google Analytics is used, its browser opt-out add-on is an additional option; it does not control all forms of tracking.

Advertising, including Google AdSense

We may display advertising in the future. If Google advertising is enabled, Google and other advertising providers may use cookies to serve ads based on visits to this and other websites. Google’s advertising cookies can enable it and its partners to personalize ads using such visits. You can manage personalized Google ads at My Ad Center and read how Google uses information from partner sites. We will identify enabled advertising providers and provide the consent controls required for the regions served before these features are activated. This paragraph does not mean that AdSense is currently active.

Affiliate links

We may add clearly disclosed links that allow a retailer or affiliate network to attribute a referral or purchase to this site. Following one may result in the destination or network using cookies or similar tracking, under its own policy. We do not receive your full payment-card details from a retailer merely because you used an affiliate link. Actual programs and applicable notices will be identified when introduced. See our Affiliate Disclosure.

Sharing, service providers and legal requests

We use service providers as needed to operate the website and email service. Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable legal requirements, protect rights or respond to misuse. Links to external sites take you to services with their own privacy practices.

Retention and security

We keep information for the period reasonably needed for its purpose, including responding to correspondence, resolving a dispute, protecting the site or meeting a legal obligation. Retention depends on the type of information, whether a request remains open, security needs and applicable legal duties. You can ask about retention for information relating to you. We use appropriate safeguards for the systems we control, but no transmission or storage system can be guaranteed secure.

Your choices and rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of personal information; object to certain uses; or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. You may also be able to complain to a relevant regulator. Contact the email above to make a request. We may need proportionate information to verify it. Browser settings can control some cookies, but they do not replace any consent controls required for specific services.

Under applicable Ukrainian law, you can seek information about processing of your data, request correction or deletion where legally justified, object to processing and seek protection through the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights or the courts. Other rights may apply depending on your location.

Purposes and international processing

We use information for the purposes described above: delivering and securing the site, handling correspondence and, if introduced, measuring use or supporting disclosed commercial features. Where applicable law requires a legal basis, this may be our legitimate interest in operating a secure site and responding to requests, compliance with a legal duty, or your consent for optional tracking where required. You may withdraw consent without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

The site operator is based in Ukraine. Website and email providers may process information in other countries, where privacy rules can differ. Where a transfer is subject to additional legal requirements, appropriate safeguards are required. Contact us for details about processing relevant to your information.

Children

The site provides DIY information for adults and is not directed to children under 13. Do not send us personal information about a child. If you believe such information was provided, contact us so we can review and address it.

Changes

We will update this policy when our practices change, including when analytics, advertising or affiliate services are introduced. Material changes and any required consent will be handled before the relevant new use. The effective date above identifies the published version.
